From the 'Rosen-Zeitung' 1891, page 64
"Neueste Rosen ...
Maud Little, Bl. gross, sehr gefüllt, feine Form, Farbe chinesischrosa, sehr schöne und zarte Färbung, Wuchs mässig, Haltung gut."
My translation:
Newest Roses ...
Maud Little, flower large, very double, fine shape, colour China pink, very beautiful and delicate colouring, growth moderate, well mannered.
[this last phrase 'Haltung gut' which I've translated as 'well mannered' is somewhat hard to translate. Haltung usually refers to someone's demeanour or bearing but it is possible to translate it as poise, or in this sense how the flowers are held. I think it refers to the overall nature of the shrub - I'm not sure. Maybe some native German speaker could possibly help here].
