San Juan Capistrano, California -- March 19, 2010. This is the same bloom, five days later. Interestingly, the bloom ages to dark pink and opens to show a white star-shaped halo around hot pink stamens.

San Juan Capistrano, California -- March 14, 2010. This was the first bloom on a new bareroot this year, from Lowe's. Certified Roses registered this rose as a "floribunda" but so far anyway, it has the size, form and growth habit of an exhibiton hybrid tea. Moreover, I don't know where they got "orange-red" from in the description. The color is a very pure, clear, bright red, -- same shade of red as Opening Night.

Reminds me of Oiympiad. It seems to have above average disease resistance.
