Origin:
Bred by RVS Rijksstation voor Sierplantenteelt (Belgium, 1963).
Introduced in Belgium by Rijksstation Voor Sierplantenteelt (RVS) in 1971 as 'Kon-Tiki'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Bright red.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 28" (up to 70cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, landscape or shrub.  
Breeder's notes:
Named for the raft Kon-Tiki piloted by Thor Heyerdahl from Peru to the Polynesian Islands in 1947.
