The flower size increases greatly as the plant matures. I've been enjoying four inch flowers with an amazing, sweet scent. I think it's going to make a rather outstanding garden plant.

Sounds good. I just updated blossom size and listed the color as lilac. Do you agree?

Thanks, Robert

You're welcome Robert. Here, there is a lilac quality to it, but more lilac-pink. Not really mauve, but pink with lilac tones. Hope that makes sense.

I agree but wasn't sure how to input the color description. Feel free to update to make more appropriate.

Thanks, Robert

Robert..........

I used Kim's color description and changed the color attributes. Please let me know if this is what you were looking for in describing the bloom.

Smiles,
Lyn

Robert, one of the seedlings from this rose is about to flower for the first time here. If you can believe it, so far the petals are bright GREEN with a thin blury pink picotee edge. It should be fully open tomorrow so I will take another photo when it's fully open. Foliage is nice and healthy so far.

Congratulations Simon.

It looks like you might get a single picotee out of that one?

I'm guessing it will open much less green. As you know blossoms with green pigment usually last a long time. The down side is they sometimes don't self clean.

I love watching seedlings blossom for the first time.

Hope to see some follow up photos soon.

Thanks, Robert

It's proving stubborn. Still tightly shut!

Open at last! I didn't wait to see if it self-cleaned as the seedling is so small. It was snipped off to let it grow a bit. Not much in the way of anthers yet. Will be interesting to see how it matures.

Pollen parent information is from the breeder.

I love the color and form on this one, Robert. The form reminds me of some of the newer water lily bloom form Camelias. The color is really pleasant.

Yes, beautiful and fertile. The parentage is unusual too.

I got some seedlings out of it and sent it on to Kim.
