Origin:
Bred by Rev. Joseph Hardwick Pemberton (United Kingdom, 1924).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Penelope'.
Class:
Hybrid Musk, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Seashell-pink, yellow shading.  Strong fragrance.  up to 25 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, semi-double to double, in large clusters, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Small, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 40" to 8' (100 to 245cm).  Width: 40" to 5' (100 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Drought resistant.  Resist the urge to prune this rose too heavily -- it doesn't like it!.
