Bred by Massimiliano Lodi (1863-1930) (Italy, before 1909).
Introduced in Italy by Gaetano Bonfiglioli e figlio in 1909 as 'Stella di Bologna'.

Bloom:
Violet - pink, violet shading, lighter undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.
