Next in order of merit is Madame Maurice Gazin (A. Schwartz).  The first records were not particularly favourable in regard to colour and shape, but it has improved wonderfully in both respects and is now promising very well. ​The blooms carry forty reddish crimson petals, while growth is good.​ Perfume, however, is only slight.

New Roses 1933.  Madame Maurice Gazin (HT. A. Schwartz 1931) Vigorous growth and free branching, with dark green foliage and very free flowering. Flower large, full, opening well; long bud, colour clear reddish crimson, interior of the flower dark scarlet. Highly recommended. Price 4/- each.
Shape good, inclined to blue slightly as flower ages. 40 petals.

Madame Maurice Cazin. - Arbuste vigoureux, feuillage vert foncé. Fleur grande, pleine, s'ouvrant bien, boulon allongé, rouge cramoisi clair, intérieur de la fleur rouge grenat nuancé écarlale, revers des pétales rouge pourpre.
Variété issue de Général Mac Arthur et Hadley.
