Bloom:
Apricot, light pink undertones, ages to white . Strong fragrance. Small, full (26-40 petals), in large clusters, reflexed, scalloped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Short, thornless (or almost). Glossy, medium green foliage. Height of 3' to 6' (90 to 185 cm). Width of 3' (90 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for container rose or garden. Very hardy.
Notes:
Heirloom Old Garden Roses says Perle d'Or has small perfectly formed buds of apricot-peach produced in clusters on a compact plant with rich, dark green foliage. It is almost thornless and very similar to 'Cecile Brunner' except for the color... Some differences of opinion about parentage and breeder, see References.
