The breeder is given as Patrick Dickson, Colin's father in Modern Roses XI. There may be similar problems with many roses introduced by Dicksons in the late '80s/90s. The best would be if Dickson Roses would inform ARS / "Modern Roses" who the actual breeder was.

Colin Dickson has told me that he bred and introduced a rose called Mr JCB (Dicsun) and not one called Mrs JCB.

It seems that this rose is labeled "Mrs." J.C.B. at Rosarium Winschoten. We will merge it to 'Mr JCB'

Per the Canadian Rose Annual (2001): "MR. J.C.B. (MR. JOSEPH CYRIL BAMFORD), F (Dickson '93) (Bright Smile x Unnamed Seedling x Allgold). DY, sulphur yellow with touch of red on reverse. Rome Trial 1992 GM, Baden- Baden Silver Medal."
Looks like they missed a bracket, so I unsure which side the seedling is on, but I'm going to guess its on the male side based on the timeline and Dickson's general behavior.
...I'm tired of reading these annuals :[ lol

Could you go back and read them just a little bit more and give us page numbers Michael? You’re finding good stuff.

Michael, I have at last been able to finish all your items you have given us from the Canadian Rose Annuals. I know the HelpMeFind community greatly appreciates you ploughing through these old Annuals. Thank you.
