I wonder if this is really a sport or just a seedling. I've had a couple of seedlings of this pop up and both were climbers, in most other respects they were like the parent. It also raises interesting questions about where the shrub form came from.
Very interesting Sam! I have tried, unsuccessfully, to breed using Pink Pet for many years. I find no pollen in it and it refuses to set seed for me in California, no matter what pollen I put on it. Thanks for giving some hope for the future!
