Bigger Peonies
The following varieties are all my own originations. I have tested all of them for many years and I believe they are all worthy of a trial in your garden. I do not have very large stocks of them and there are not very many plants of some to be sent out this year.
Deer Creek — 1952
A full rose type double that is a smooth shade of medium pink. The flower is cup shaped with a collar of petals around the middle of the flower that are white, intermixed with pink petals that are the same shade as the rest of the flower. The center of the flower tends to be white also. Fine green foliage on a plant that is about thirty six inches tall. Won Honorable Mention in Boston as a seedling in 1947. Please Note: This variety was listed under the name Mid-American in 1952 and the name was changed to Deer Creek...each...$7.50

New Bigger Peonies
Something new for fifty-two
The following two varieties are being introduced for your approval this year. I have grown them for a good many years and like them very much. Both are good bloomers and to date I find they bloom every year regardless of the season.
Mid-America— (52-37) A fine full rose double. The color is a smooth shade of medium pink with a slight lavender cast. The flower is cup shaped with a collar of petals around the middle of the flower that are white intermixed or tipped with the major color of the flower. The center of the cup tends to be white also. This is a good cut flower and keeps well in cold storage. Won honorable mention as a seedling at Boston. "Net"...each...$10.00
