Is this rose and 'Red Dream' the same rose, or are they sisters?

They are close. Same parentage and 'Red Dream's patent was applied for about the same time 'Prairie Clogger' was introduced. Am taking advice and will get back to you.

Yeah, I could not conclude properly, either.

The advice was that they are separate roses. I've adjusted the files accordingly.

This rose needs to be distributed more. I like it a lot better than Knock Out because it is a true red and not a pink-red like Knock Out is. It is also just about as disease resistant and only gets a tiny bit of blackspot at the end of the season. The picture I uploaded was taken in mid autumn. It is also more hardy than Knock Out as it did not suffer dieback as all the Knock Outs did here last winter. It's just an overall great rose.

This rose performed very well the first season I planted it. It was rarely without bloom until the killing frost, putting out flush after flush of bright pretty flowers. It has a rounded habit, not too tall or wide. An easy informal rose that lends a cheerful note to the garden. Claire, St Louis Missouri, Zone 5/6
