Prairie Harvest rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Rosaplant
Photo taken at Rosaplant Collection, November 2018. Usually at this time of the year roses aren't in bloom, however Autumn 2018 is extremly warm and most of the varieties are still growing and blooming.

Own root Prairie Harvest in its 2nd season... 4ft+ high and about 3ft wide. I wanted to take a pic of its growth habit before all the buds started opening... Leaves free of disease here in Sept... (no spray)... Red roses are Double KO...

Got this as a tiny own-root from a friend. Planted in a worst spot possible: dry & hilly & rock-hard-clay & never water it. Didn't have much scent at 1st .. but now in 2nd year, the scent improves ... darker yellow in partial shade. Very healthy despite being neglected.

Own-root Prairie Harvest in a 2-week of dry heat over 90F, zero rain. I water it once every 2 weeks, so the root is quite deep. Very healthy in alkaline clay & drought-tolerant, but the petals blow fast.
