The 1913 Biltmore Rose Catalog says, "The blossoms of the Keystone Rose are a deep lemon-yellow in color and have a fragrance resembling the magnolia. They are double and finely formed, and appear with great frequency. The buds are shapely and perfectly formed. The plant is unusually hardy and practically immune from insects. It grows stronger than the majority of Climbing Roses, and attains a great age. Unlike many Climbing Roses, the plant seems to take added vigor with the added years and the production of flowers is not diminished when the plant is cared for. The lustrous deep green foliage is both distinctive and beautiful."

We already have this reference - and photo. But thanks anyway Bug_girl. When you find something of value that HelpMeFind doesn’t have, a page number is good to have.

Successful Farming, vol. 13 page 96 (1914) Keystone is a magnificient hardy yellow climber, with a number of very strong points to recommend it. It blooms in wonderful profusion, and I have found it absolutely immune from the attack of insects. It grows freely and has a wonderful constitution. The buds are beautifully formed and the flowers are perfectly double. It is of a deep lemon color and the fragrance is very much like that of Magnolia blossoms. I have had the Keystone make a growth of fifteen feet the first season, branching freely.
