"I have named one new rose in 1967. It has a flower like Therese Bugnet, is thornless, has attractive red bark in winter, grows only three feet high, and produces an enormous number of large, bright red heps full of seeds, but it blooms only once. It will be called "Riches," but how much will its once-blooming handicap its acceptance. It should at least be a good "vitamin rose.""
