Deep pink Species. Exhibition name: R. californica plena
Origin:
Introduced by Unknown in 1894 as ' Rosa californica 'Plena''.
Bloom:
Pink. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 1.5". Small, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles, climbing, suckers on its own roots, upright. Matte foliage. 3 to 9 leaflets. Height of 6' 1" to 11½' (185 to 350 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5a through 9b. Vigorous.
