Rosa kalmiussica Chrshan. et Laseb. (1958) ... Shrub with arcuately curved branches, 1-2 m tall; spines are very frequent, small, 5-6 mm in length, of the same type, hook-shaped, curved. Leaves 5-8 cm in length; stipules are well developed, softly pubescent only below and along the edge, devoid of glands; 5-7 leaflets, from narrow elliptic to elliptical, pubescent on both sides. Flowers 1-3; pedicels thin, 8-10 mm long, bare and smooth; sepals after flowering rise, but do not reach a horizontal position; head stigma loose, pubescent. Hypanthias are oval, bare and smooth; nutlets fruit.
Distribution: south of Eastern Russia.
Economic value: as a vitamin, a good tanning agent, a source of Cholosas [Холосас: a liver drug] , a stock for cultivated roses

Corymbose Rose (Rosa corymbifera Borkh.). This species grows on open mountain slopes and on banks of mountain rivers and streams. It is a xero-mesophytic shrub with velvetlike pubescence and recurved, uniform-sized thorns. Compound leaves have five to seven ovate leaflets, pubescent on both sides or with more dense pubescence on the lower side. White-to-pale pink flowers have pinnate sepals that are pubescent on the margins. Dark-red fruits are large, ovate or orbicular, with deciduous sepals.
