We acquired this rose from Gregg Lowery, of Vintage Gardens. They got it from Muriel Huminick, Rose Acres. We don't know where Muriel got it, and she passed away before I could ask. So the ultimate provenance of the rose in the U.S. is not known.
There is a Rosaleen in the A.C. Postel Rose Garden opposite Santa Barbara Mission. Several Rose Society members have taken cuttings and hope to be able to spread this rose around.
