Bred by Paul Barden (United States, 2006).

Hybrid Gigantea, Tea, Cl..  

Rose-pink and violet, light pink reverse.  Mild, tea fragrance.  25 to 45 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Medium-large, full (26-40 petals), globular, old-fashioned bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  Medium, rounded buds.  

Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Large, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: 5' to 15' (150 to 455cm).  Width: 7' to 15' (215 to 455cm).

USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape, pillar or specimen.  Very vigorous.  benefits from winter protection in colder climates.  can be trained as a climber.  heat tolerant.  prefers full sun.  suitable for a pillar.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Prune dead wood.  Resist the urge to prune this rose too heavily -- it doesn't like it!.  This rose blooms on old wood.  

Although this seedling has shown rampant growth I cannot yet comment on its mature size. It will clearly get a lot larger than it is now.

After the 2015 Polar Vortex, I presumed this rose was dead and lost, as were so many roses that winter. However, I recently discovered that it has come back from the roots and is now getting big again. (May 2018)

This variety is both pollen and seed sterile.
