One of the most beatiful spinosissima hybrids. Much less thorny than either of its parents and totally healthy. Good repeat flowering in warm summers. An excellent rose for large gardens or landscaping.

Very likely a spontaneous cross R. rugosa X spinosissima. The reverse cross given in "references" is unlikely bacause tetraploid roses (spinosissima) normally don't accept pollen of diploid roses (rugosa). Very hardy, very vigorous, very beautiful, delicate flowers. Makes some open pollinated hips but I have never succeeded in hand pollination. Pollen is moderately fertile.
