There is a question or two on this climbing HT.
Modern Roses 7 (1969) say this was discovered by Swim and Weeks, but introduced by Comley (Ivan F. Comley?) in 1964 in Australia.

The 1969 date in Modern Roses refers to the date of registration and not the date of the sport.
Modern Roses doesn't segregate duplicate sports, so anomalies like this appear where roses have sported more than once or where a rose was introduced before it was registered with the ARS.
