Some lower leaves get black spot, but generally the plant is very healthy even in high humidity. The blooms are very double and last quite a while before turning brown and shattering, although there are no long stems ideal for cutting. It is sterile; spent blooms turn brown and shed. In periods of frequent rain the flowers can turn brown at the edges and appear to have a dirty, unpleasant color. Generally, though, it is beautiful and free-flowering.
