MACmatam, a dark red HT from Sam McGredy, New Zealand. This rose gained its award because of its extreme floriferousness - practically continuous in bloom. The red colour of the blooms is quite unique and they age gracefully. The habit of the buses is excellent with very dark foliage to match the blooms. The blooms tended to be rather flat and shapeless in the autumn. In spring and summer they were of reasonably good shape and appealing.
