Origin:

Bred by Brad Jalbert (Canada, before 2010).
Introduced in Canada by Select Roses in 2010 as 'Lesley-Anne'.

Bloom:

Scarlet. Colour does not fade in sun. None to mild fragrance. Average diameter 3". Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Tall, climbing, upright. Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.

Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower, garden, pillar or shrub. Hardy. vigorous. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. rain tolerant. suitable for a pillar. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Can be grown as a climber in mild climates. Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection). Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.

Breeder's notes:

Flowers are long lasting as a cut rose or on the bush. Named after a good friend of mine and prominent Vancouver BC area rose lover. Can be grown as a small upright climber.
