Picotee   Variety Denomination: Somcarpaint. Breeder Somerfield 2012. Type Miniature/Patio. Parentage: Flower Carpet™ Seedling x Old Master.  Plants 39. Reports 21. Height Short. Garden 7.6. Exhibition 3.7. Health 7.5 (very good).  Fragrance 2.7 (slight).  This is a short growing, very healthy, patio sized, small flowered floribunda. Growth habit can be more like a small shrub. Blooms are hand-painted pink and white reverse similar in appearance to Sam McGredy's 'Regensburg'. The variety makes a great little garden rose for people with smaller gardens

'Picotee' is a hand painted patio rose. The word Picotee is French and is used to describe the unusual hand painted edging featured in this rose. The pink and white blended flowers are produced in large clusters that smother the bush in an explosion of colour. Normally hand painted rose varieties lose their hand painted edging in hot weather, 'Picotee' maintains its silvery white edging for most if not all of the summmer. It is quick to repeat flower, the plant is compact and bushy with truly exceptional health. 'Picotee' should be available in Garden Centres in 2012. Awarded Certificate of Merit, Palmerston North Trial Ground, New Zealand (2009). Patio. Pink with white edges and reverse. Semi single ruffled in appearance. Flower Size 60mm. Petal Count 10.
