Violacée. Soupert-Notting, 1876. Summer. Steel blue shaded violet to greyish pink, large and full. Leaves metallic green, hanging down. Green shoots, later red shaded, densely covered thorns large and smaller, and bristles. Habit vigorous. Flowers greatly resemble Duc de Richelieu, save for mossing.
