Austin roses as well as Rosen Union state that there is no smell, the statement "strong smell" must be questioned

Your comment (thank you) and our updated description should help be describe this rose. There have been discussions in the past on the significant differences climate/environment have on a rose's characteristics. We welcome comments from anyone growing this rose.

The parentage is almost right. Per the patent:

"The present invention relates to a new and distinct variety of rose plant of the climbing miniature rose class which was originated by me by crossing, as the seed parent, `Irish Beauty`.times.(Galway Bay.times.Sutter's Gold (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 885)) seedling and as pollen parent the rose plant known as `Anna Ford`. "

So, it should be [Elizabeth of Glamis x (Galway Bay x Sutter's Gold)] x Anna Ford, which would make it a mirrored cross of the similar Laura Ford.
