The blooms come in sprays of about 4 to 6 and are a good scarlet of 45 to 50 pointed petals opening out to flat cone shape about 2.5 to 3cms across. When picked in the bud it makes a great "button-hole" as it holds well without opening up. After opening it fades badly. The plant is tallish of up to 50cms.
