White Dorothy Perkins. Own roots at Northcliffe, W.A. Nov 15, 2023. Provenance: Rustons via MF in 2010->. E-fence N. This year the whole plant has turned pink. See also Margaret Furness’ photo of the original plant at Ruston’s also turning pink.

This specimen was isolated from a single white sport branch on a very old specimen of 'Dorothy Perkins' (pink) years ago. You can see it still occasionally produces bits of pink here and there.

WHITE DOROTHY.
(Wichuraiana.)
As the name implies, it is a white form of the celebrated Dorothy Perkins from which it is a "sport," being identical in everything but colour. Excellent for arches, pillars, pergolas, screens, or for sloping banks. Absolutely hardy, mildew - proof, and will thrive in any situation. Introduced in 1908, and awarded the National Rose Society's Gold Medal.
