Kim, I have been thinking a lot about both roses which descend from persona briars other than foetida, like this rose, as well as roses that do not descend from Joanna Hill and Crimson Glory. I have been thinking a lot about choices to use that exclude these for the sake of comparison, and for new color patterns. I wonder how R. hugo. affects colors.

Kim's new hugonis seedlings look very Pernetiana, fwiw. A very promising line of breeding!

I see Pernet colors, but blends and not bicolors. So somewhere between the Chinas and the Pernets. Its fun to watch fold out on here.
