Climber, Hybrid Kordesii, Shrub.  

Non-fading red.  None / no fragrance.  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, open bloom form.  Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium buds.  

Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles, climbing, lax.  Medium, matte, medium green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Hardy.  vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  flowers drop off cleanly.  heat tolerant.  produces decorative hips.  suitable for a pillar.  

This seedling came out of Paul Barden's breeding program. Disease resistance was not what I had hoped I have some F1 seedlings that I am evaluating.
