'Will Alderman' is an underrated Rugosa and should be grown more often. However, it's virtually unavailable from garden centres. At present it can be obtained From Brentwood Bay Nurseries, located near Victoria, B.C.

"Will Alderman - hybrid rugosa Height 3-4 feet. Typical rugosa bush and foliage. Flowers large, rose pink, of hybrid perpetual form. Much better than Hansa. Produces freely all season, sets seed. Very subject to chlorosis, otherwise it would be in my top ten." Walter Schowalter notes 1985
