p39.  Roy Rumsey.  The Best Roses of the Last Five Years.
Woburn Abbey  ('Masquerade' x 'Fashion') This variety has almost a unique colour effect, the deep coppery orange with yellow at the base gives a golden-brown effect when viewed from a distance. Growth is strong and bushy with ample foliage. This variety should be in all rose gardens.

p61. Mrs. Heather Rumsey.  The Best Of The Floribundas.
In the rich orange-yellows, I am forced to name Woburn Abbey which is quite a spectacular colour, and the plant has attractive light green foliage. A very good grower, but I have a personal dislike for the cup-shaped small flowers.
Book  (1965)  Page(s) 86.

Dr. A. S. Thomas, New Roses in Victoria.
Woburn Abbey , Fl. (Sidey and Cobley, 1962) 'Masquerade' x 'Fashion'. Other than 'Gold Marie',  it seems that we have still no good yellow Floribunda, so this orange and lemon variety is doubly welcome. Strong grower. Mildews a little. In 1963 I saw an unnamed Floribunda at Bagatelle that is similar in colouring but, in general, a better variety - I am watching for it.
