It is a mystery to me why this roses isn't more popular.

My two plants epitomize Ralph Moore's maxim about patience in growing a new rose: the first year it sleeps, the next year it creeps and the third year it leaps.

From scrawny ugly-duckling plants in separate pots have emerged (in their third year) two healthy and strongly growing roses now planted together in a large blue-glazed pot that complements their golden yellow blooms so well.

YJ plants become naturally rounded and compact-growing.
But there is nothing economical about their bloom production.
Over a very long season they are continually throwing out the deepest, most appealing deep yellow blooms in great abundance all over the plant.

Super healthy and resistant to diseases and pests -- YELLOW JACKET is a very rewarding rose to grow.

I have always considered YJ a miniature rose -- and was somewhat surprised to discover it is classed as a shrub.
The blooms are small as is the size of the plant -- so maybe "miniature shrub" is a better description.
