'Mamie' Asseretto', 19567. 'Gloria di Roma' sport. Named after the wife of the President of U.S.A., this Italian raised variety has large double flowers of 35 petals on long wiry stems. On vigorous bushes, the shapely blooms are pink. Said to be a good forcing rose.

Ma verano anche rose italiane e fra quelle una rosa inedita del Cav. Vincenzo Asseretto di Sanremo , derivante da uno sport di « Gloria di Roma » , dal bocciolo perfetto , forse migliore che nella pianta mutante , di colore più tenue , fra il rosa ed il rosso , ma brillante . Questa rosa ha ottenuto una medaglia d'oro.

Translation:
But there will also be Italian roses and among them an unissued rose by the nursery Vincenzo Asseretto in Sanremo, deriving from a sport of 'Gloria di Roma', with a perfect bud, perhaps better than the mutated parent, of a more tenuous colour, between pink and red, but brilliant. This rose has received a Gold medal [at the VIII National fair of Floriculture at Sanremo]
