Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses for 1989-90 Season. Miniatures.
'Bronze Baby'. Martin 1985. bronzy yellow; 9 reports; 19 bushes; 1-4 years; 40cm, 8.0 rating. Though rated highly, this mini is not widely grown except in the North Island evidently. Early reports were full of praise for the pretty unusual colour, freedom of bloom, with good repeat. Later reports, still praising the colour, noted that the blooms are too large and often too few. The bush grows well, though can be rather leggy in the North, whilst health is excellent. Not a show mini, but a very competent one in the garden.

'Bronze Baby'. Martin NZ 1985. Deep bronze yellow; 4 reports; 8 bushes; 1-3 years; 40cm; 7.8 rating. Auckland reports exquisite buds, bad fading and a leggy plant. Waikato, Taranaki and Manawatu like the colour, form and health. Repeat is good, but the number of blooms per flush could be better. Manawatu says the blooms are a trifle too large. Reports from last year and this year indicate that this is a good mini.

Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses for 1986-87 Season. Miniatures.
'Bronze Baby'. Martin, 1985. bronze-yellow; 3 reports; 4 bushes; 1-2 years; 35cm. 8.6 rating. Two Auckland reporters say the blooms are very pretty, have good form, good repeat, and it is very floriferous. The bush is healthy. Taranaki finds the colour and form good, the plant healthy, good foliage, and it grows well.
