Height: Short to Medium. Health: 5.9. Fragrance: 2.4. Waikoto: Bush has improved over the years, a nice red mini with healthy foliage, reasonable repeat. Kapiti: Nothing special. Marlborough: Seldom without flowers of good form and long lasting, average health and good growth, good on show bench. South Canterbury: Excellent early in season, flowers open too fast, nice form. North Otago: Makes good exhibition blooms. Central Otago: Slow growing, exhibition shape, keeps colour well.

'Jessie McKenzie' 8 Reports: 10 Plants: Garden 5.7, Exhibition 6.1: Short / Medium height: Health 5.8: fragrance 2.2: Bright red blooms. Waikato: Very slow grower but has improved from last year, health reasonable, nice small stems. Marlborough: Slow to repeat but blooms last well and don't fade, nice foliage. Marlborough: Love it, lovely colour, always in flower. Canterbury: Small plant but good shaped red flowers. South Canterbury: Problems with rust, not as good this year. North Otago: Eye catching red colour, good for exhibiting, have had my bushes number of years now, reduced to one, lacking some vigour. Central Otago: Neat red flowers, good shape.

'Jessie McKenzie' 10 Reports: 13 Plants: Garden 6.6, Exhibition 6.6: Short/ Medium height: Health 6.6: fragrance 1.8: Bright red blooms. Waikato: Very ordinary red. Manawatu: Clear red, substance improved and more colourfast, makes good small stems for showing, gangly plant habit but healthy. Kapiti: Very ordinary red rose, may discard, Marlborough: Like the shape and colour, holds colour and petals well, nice foliage too. Canterbury: Very useful for exhibiting, good colour. North Otago: Health only average. Central Otago: Small bush, doesn't seem to put on much growth, short plant gets lost behind anything else.

Northland: nice small red flowers, just an average garden rose. Marlborough: nothing special, just another light red mini. Centra/ Otago: takes time to establish, worth persevering with, flowers good exhibition shape. Cromwell: does well down south, beautiful form. North Otago: nice bright red, another good exhibitor's mini. Southland: good continuity of blooms.

Some health problems: No fragrance: Medium height: Bright red flowers. North Otago reports a very good rose in the garden; good form; always in flower. Northland says another cultivar that doesn't come up to expectations; lovely red. Canterbury - good colour and sometimes exhibition flowers. Also from Canterbury - not very exciting. Marlborough - attractive garden rose although the red fades somewhat. Some possibility for exhibiting; reasonable large stems. Another Marlborough grower - good lasting exhibition shaped blooms from plant growing in a pot; healthy and seldom without flowers, unfading red with good foliage. Manawatu - sport of Black Jade, single and small clusters; dark foliage; average vigour. Gets blackspot. Fine for showing.
