In the description is written:
"The pollen parent is almost certainly Rosa pimpinellifolia 'plena', known as 'Juhannusruusu' in Finland. Very few hips, suggesting that it is triploid. Does not produce pollen."
To me that doesn't make sense.

The second sentence seems to refer to 'Helvi', not the pollen parent.

That would indeed make sense. I misunderstood what was meant, the way it was written.

Helvi came perfectly through the winter 2012-13 which was, with its harsh temperature fluctuations, very difficult to many roses in southern Finland. Even super hardy roses like Hansa have damaged branches.
