Introduced in Australia by George J. Smith, Royal Exotic Nursery in 1862 as 'Général Simpson'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red.  Medium, very double bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.
