HMF Ratings:

Origin:
Bred by AndrĂ© Carl (United States, 2012).
Class:
Unknown.
Bloom:
Dark red.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, classic hybrid tea, exhibition, formal, high-centered bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Medium, rounded buds.
Habit:
Medium, glossy, dark green, edged purple-red, maroon highlights foliage.  5 leaflets.
Growing:
Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
This plant is showing great promise as it produces some very vigorous growth. The foliage is extremely dark and matches the dark red flowers nicely. There was some confusion at first whether this was an open pollinated seedling of Compassion or an open pollinated seedling of Fourth of July. While I may change my mind at a later date, I believe that it shares more chaacteristics with Fourth of July than with Compassion.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
This seedling is still too young to determine its true growth potential. While it bloomed last year (2012) no notes were taken. The bloom information listed above is based off its first recorded bloom produced in Spring of 2013 and will be updated as it is watched through the growing season.

First planted in the ground: July 2016
