In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
This seedling is similar in growth and color, but the blooms are single in the summer and semi-double in the spring versus usually double on its parent. It is currently grown as a freestanding bush that grows to about 5 feet tall and if it were not kept in bounds, or was grown in a warmer climate, I can definitely see it getting up to about 10+ feet tall and about 5-6 feet wide - it takes a lot of training to keep it in the small space I have available for it. Best color during cooler times (spring/fall) and when first opened.
