'Lemon Curd' rose Description

Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, ages to cream . Mild fragrance. 5 to 15 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Small, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, cupped, globular, open bloom form. Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer. Small, glandular sepals, rounded buds.
Habit:
Medium, climbing, dense, few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched. Small, glossy, medium green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, garden or pillar. Very vigorous. benefits from winter protection in colder climates. can be trained as a climber. drought resistant. flowers drop off cleanly. plant in partial shade for best color. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit. Prune after flowering is finished. This rose blooms on old wood.
