'Yellow Leonard Barron'. HT. Yellow. (Conard-Pyle, '38). Foote, Mass., (1 yr), had but few flowers. Wine, Va., (3 pl. 1 yr.), reports 18-inch growth and flowers ranging from cream to light yellow; plants were badly infected by thrip during June, but foliage remained on the plant and it produced fairly well throughout the season. Hamilton, N.C. complains of weak growth and flowers of dingy white. Hampton, Tex., (2 pl., 1 yr.), likes it very much and finds it is almost alone in the shade of yellow it carries; she compares its color to 'Mme. Albert Barbier' and considers it an addition to any garden. Hieatt, Calif. (2 pl., 1 yr.), sees no particular merit in it. Edmunds, Ore., (6 pl., 2 yr.), says it has a better plant and better foliage than 'Leonard Barron', but not definite color. At Breeze Hill we consider it simply a pale creamy yellow 'Leonard Barron' which should please anyone who likes that variety.

R Marion Hatton. A Good Year in America.
A pale lemon sport of 'Leonard Barron' looks good to me (I must say that, having discovered it), and will please those who like the big flowers of 'Leonard Barron';. It goes out next fall, but I am not sure whether as 'Yellow Leonard Barron' or not.
