    The blooms are pretty when fresh but fade to an unattractive brown. Too bad.

    As per Steve Singer, hybridizer and owner of Wisconsin Roses, Olivia Rose was named to honor the memory of Olivia Rose Engel, a girl whose life was taken in the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy on 12-14-2012. She loved purple and pink. The rose is a cross of Madame Violet X Heather Sproul. See wiroses.com
