Origin:
Bred by André Carl (United States, 2013).
Class:
Large-Flowered Climber.
Bloom:
Violet-red, dark red edges, white center.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Tall, climbing, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Large, semi-glossy, dark green, maroon highlights , maroon underside foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.
Growing:
Very vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  drought resistant.  suitable for a pillar.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
This seedling was germinated in Fall 2013. It was overwintered indoors to ensure survival. Because of its climbing and almost thornless nature, I believe the pollen parent to be Night Owl.

First planted in the ground: July 2016
