'Seedling 12-J04' rose Description

Class:
Climber, Hybrid Wichurana.
Bloom:
White, seashell-pink reverse, light yellow on inside, pink edges, ages to blush then white . Mild fragrance. 7 to 15 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, open bloom form. Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer. Large, long sepals, long buds.
Habit:
Medium, climbing, dense, well-branched, average prickles. Medium, glossy, dark green, maroon highlights foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 3' to 15' (90 to 455cm). Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders, garden, landscape or pillar. Very vigorous. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. drought resistant. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
This is basically a semi-double, climbing, once-blooming, healthier version of Gemini. It is a true gem and if once-blooming ramblers were still popular, I am sure this could have been introduced to much fanfare instead of being used mostly as breeding stock. For anyone wanting to try this one out, please let me know as I think you would truly enjoy it.
