Blairi No. 1* (Bourbon climber) By courtesy of Mr. Graham Stuart Thomas we have at last obtained this rose.  Its flowers are large, blowsy and scented and of a soft blush pink in colour.  Not quite as free flowering as its sister Blairi No. 2 but it makes an equally good climber.  C. 1845. (S) 8 x 6’.
Book  (1936)  Page(s) 80.

Correspondence.
[response to Mr. Allan's question] Rose Blairi No. 1. -- We cannot learn that there was ever a Rose of this name. There is no mention of it in the old Rose-books. Blairi No. 2 was raised by a Mr. Blair, who lived, we believe, somewhere in the north of London. Whether he ever introduced a No. 1 we cannot say.
Book  (1906)  Page(s) 24.
