Some fragrance, strongest in fall. Not much the rest of the year in my zone 8 eastern North Carolina garden.
Will get blackspot. Fertile as a pollen parent.

I'm commenting again so hopefully someone will see it: Go on J&P website and BUY THIS ROSE. This is absolutely one of the best, if not the best, in my garden. She spreads out, so give her some space, but she's extremely healthy, a prolific bloomer, smells great, and has gorgeous foliage. She's 100x better than Neil Diamond which is a blackspot magnet that's stingy with blooms. My number one recommendation.

I'm a big fan of Daring Spirit. Although somewhat similar to Neil Diamond (DS is less pink than ND), Daring Spirit is a much healthier plant, a stronger grower, and it flowers more. DS doesn't have the knockout scent that ND does, and for some that's a deal breaker, but overall DS comes out on top for me. It got a late start in my garden, was planted in a very hot spot, and then had to go through the torrential Harvey rains...and it kept blooming. I'm anxious to see how it performs this year.

This has been a great new addition to my garden. It is very healthy and the flushes of flowers are almost continuous. This rose is a keeper---no question about it.
