Christophe - 4869; floribunda bred by Colin Dickson, agent Matthews Roses. This very vibrant orange attracts attention from some distance away; it seldom was without a flower but never really had the same intense blooming after the spring. The plant is strong, tall and upright, the matt green edged bronze foliage enhanced the flower colour. I don't think I saw any disease on this rose, a feature of Bob's selection policies, although spider mite was a problem the last two summers.
