I'd like to tweak the listing or my rose 'Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings'. It was bred in 2012; registered in 2015.
Seed parent should be 'Dortmund'
Pollen parent should be Unknown
As listed, it does not show up in searches as a descendant of 'Dortmund' since the whole parentage is shown on the female parent line.
Thanks.

Patricia, Could we also list "FSC12-001" as a synonym, since some people may still grow it under that code? Also, I'm not sure how HMF defines "mild" fragrance, but I'd say it has "little to none." Thanks.

We grew out a population of open-pollinated seedlings of 'Dortmund' in the spring of 2012. This one was quite compact-growing and made huge clusters of brilliant red flowers. We wanted to name it in someone's honor. This past March (2015), the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Society met on our campus (Florida Southern College). It was known from some of her writings that she had always wished someone would name a rose for her. So we thought this was an excellent opportunity, and with the approval of her closest living relatives as well as the MKR Society, we did so, and introduced it at their March meeting. "FSC12-001" was the original code ID for it, and some central Floridians may have this rose under that synonym.
